I need help finding an area rug that is durable, AFFORDABLE and attractive.?

I am an interior design student doing design work for free for a non-profit historic local gardens. They have a very low budget and I am trying to find a classical/traditional floral/botanical area rug. Everything I find is either of a poor quality material or entirely too expensive. I feel like I have tried everything…furniture stores, online, antique shops, flea markets, etc. I would also like to find something that is environmentally friendly but I’m not going to hold my breath. I am asking this as a last resort because I have searched relentlessly for weeks and have only found poor quality or high quality & expensive.

What is your size range and budget? Do you have some leeway in terms of furniture placement? Very often you can buy used, damaged goods from rug shops for next to nothing. We sell these types of items all the time, and customers that buy them usually plan to put their sofa over the damage so no one needs to know its there. In terms of eco-friendliness, the best thing to get would be a hand-knotted rug, used preferably, as these rugs last the longest and do no pollute and are made of sustainable materials (wool). Anything used is always eco-friendly, as you’ve saved it from a landfill.

You may consider asking stores for a donation for this historical garden redo. Perhaps a plaque could be placed in the room to credit the store and/or the store could get a receipt for a tax deduction. That might help you to secure something nice for free.
